C&D’s Kim Masterman is being thrown out… but it is all for a good cause.

 5 Jan 2018

Our very own Kim Masterman is going to experience an overnight sleepout in the Excalibur Swindon office car park in aid of 2 local and amazing charities Threshold & Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

“Sleeping rough is a true hardship even more so through the winter months. Although it can be uncomfortable, cold and wet… It gives us just a small glimpse into how hard life can be for people less fortunate than ourselves. People who have taken part in previous years have said how it has highlighted some of the challenges and has made them much more aware of the widespread homeless crisis. As a result, people have gone on to do further fundraising and support initiatives such as volunteer work and collecting winter clothing for the local support groups. We can’t fix the problem but we can all contribute to help and this is what it is all about” – Darren Harper, Excalibur.

This sleepout will take place on Friday 12th January 2018 between 7 pm – 7 am. Kim will only be using thermals, sleeping bag and a roll matt throughout the night.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance

Wiltshire Air Ambulance was established in March 1990 as a joint venture between the Wiltshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and the Wiltshire Constabulary. Sharing resources kept their costs down and the charity needed £700,000 a year to keep Wiltshire’s air ambulance in the skies. In January 2015, they started operating a dedicated air ambulance which means they must raise £3.25m a year.
