C&D Annual PRIDE Awards

C&D Annual PRIDE Awards

 14 Jan 2016

Saturday 9th January saw the annual C&D Group awards and dinner evening take place. Gathering in black tie and evening dress, staff and partners met at the Marriott Hotel, Swindon. The evening kicked-off with the eagerly anticipated C&D PRIDE Awards ceremony and CEO Karen Davison presented the awards to a list of very deserving recipients.

Due to an extremely busy final quarter of 2015, it was decided that the annual PRIDE Awards be held in January. So on Saturday evening, with the rain and wind hammering at the night, the staff and friends of C&D came together to celebrate one of C&D’s most successful 4th quarters.

Looking back on an extremely eventful 2015, there were many more successes to celebrate including; the successful opening of the Swindon Recruitment Centre, the Birmingham Recruitment Centre, the London Recruitment Centre and the purchase of corporate offices and impending head office move to South Marston.

The values extolled in C&D PRIDE are core to the ethos of C&D and through the application of these values, the staff and management of C&D are able to ensure a positive candidate experience that is uniquely C&D.

The Recipients and Awards were as follows:

  • Hannah Ingram for the C&D People-Centric Award. Seeking meaningful engagement with everyone we interact with.
  • Neil Thakrar for the C&D Respect Award in honour of Mike Brown. Being respectful of all colleagues, candidates, clients & suppliers.
  • Ursula Gawthorn for the C&D Innovate Award. Innovative ideas in managing challenges and processes.
  • Lee Marner & Clare Oakford for the C&D Deliver Award. Delivery of the service and results we promise.
  • Dannie Bates for the C&D Enthusiasm Award. Approaching all tasks and challenges with equal enthusiasm.

Karen’s vision of the C&D brand is one that focuses on people; ensuring candidates experience an excellent journey, clients receive close support and colleagues and friends of C&D are included. Hence, these five core values are encouraged and nurtured amongst all the C&D staff, from Dunstable to London to the Head Office in Swindon.

At the conclusion of the awards ceremony, staff and guests were treated to a fantastic dinner and yes, even the obligatory turkey and sprouts were present.  The staff at the Marriott Swindon were excellent and after dinner everyone danced and were entertained by 24-7, the talented live band from Swindon.
