Hadley's Journey at C&D Group

Hadley's Journey at C&D Group

 8 Jun 2018

As I start my journey here at C&D I would love to express how THANKFUL I am to have had the opportunity to travel to such an amazing country as England. Here I am able to learn from some of the most positive, inspirationally dedicated employees I have ever met, spend some quality time with some extended family, and most of all, enjoy all the great knowledge, culture, and experience the country has to offer!

Growing up I always adored England! The history, culture, accent, it just appealed to me as such a dignified, and successful place, a place where people were significant and regal. I knew that my family was of English descent, and longed to meet my relatives from "across the pond". After reaching out to one of my distant cousins, Karen Davison, I was able to arrange an opportunity to come and intern for her company C&D Group. As a college Marketing Major at the University of Texas at Tyler, in the United States, I am super excited to learn more about what makes this company so successful, as well as be able to compare the ways that businesses function and operate.

I can honestly say I was a little nervous about what exactly I was getting myself into with this internship. I had done my research about the company and learned that it was a very successful agency for businesses to find high-quality candidates to fulfil their vacant roles. However, I wasn’t exactly sure how much time, dedication, and overall passion was put into helping not only the businesses find successful people, but helping people highlight the success within themselves to place them in the position to achieve the best opportunities within their careers.

My fears were quickly diminished after meeting the team! Not only did they welcome me with open arms, but they have allowed me to be their shadow in their daily activities. I have witnessed them seal their successes with ardour, and seen them handle their struggles with grace. I may only be three days into my time here, but I can confidently say that I have learned so much, and am excited to see all I am able to pursue during my time here, and what impact I make on England, and what effect this experience will have on my future…

Look out next week for further updates.
