The C&D Group are working in partnership with a Wiltshire based electronics manufacturer to recruit a Project Manager to join an established Project Management Team, reporting into the Technical Director. This is a full-time and permanent position with an immediate start available for the successful candidate.

The primary function of this role is to drive the New Product Introduction process and interface with the customers on all technical issues as a support for the existing Business Development team and Customer Support team. This role will also require you to plan and implement different strategies in order to cultivate and capture new business opportunities and markets to enable the Company to exceed revenue and profit expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include;

  • Leverage extensive industry relationships to promote the Company's services into the market
  • Analyse and understand customer strategies, future product plans and expansion activities to develop strategies for new business opportunities
  • Expertly develop excellent customer relationships so that you are the supplier of choice 
  • Create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identify resources and assign responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of project(s)
  • Competent in project methodology
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored
  • Develop action plans to correct any out of plan conditions and work closely with Planning, Operations / Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to execute the plan to get back on track
  • Successfully negotiate difficult and / or critical business matters through interaction with senior executives both internal and external
  • Participation in pricing / bid preparation and the development and management of contract terms
  • Provide performance reporting for quarterly customer business reviews and internal monthly review meetings
  • Full compliance with all NPI, NCI and Planning processes.

Key Skills / Experience;

  • Ability to manage multiple, detailed projects to a successful completion whilst working under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of electronic manufacturing processes and business processes
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Good experience in product pricing, contract development and negotiations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Computer literate and experience / good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and database management

The standard working hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-2.00pm. The role is mainly office based although there may be travel to customer sites on occasions.
