The C&D Group are working in partnership with an education organisation to recruit for a Payroll & HR Officer. This is a temp to perm position, with a view to become permanent after a period of 12 weeks.

In this role, you will be working closely with the HR team ensuring the Payroll & HR brand and service is paramount to supporting the organisation. You will work with the HR Advisor and HR Manager in their areas and have an understanding of the organisation. This is a customer focused role to provide effective support across the Payroll & HR Administration functions.

Key Accountabilities, duties & responsibilities;

Payroll Administration;

  • Support the HR Advisor / Manager to ensure all new starters, leavers and amendments are actioned on time and in line with current process
  • Ensure the data you are entering onto the portal is 100% accurate and reflective of the documentation you are reviewing
  • Ensure payroll queries are dealt with, highlighting/ raising any concerns to the HR Advisor / HR Manager
  • Provide administrative support to the annual salary review process

Employee Records (Payroll);

  • Manage the compliance of HR files when required
  • To update and maintain specific data on the HR system including; absence monitoring, terms & condition of employment changes and training
  • Manage incoming email, post and other paperwork related to payroll

Operational HR;

  • Lead on the recruitment of supply staff, working with the HR Advisor / HR Manager to fulfil organisation requirement according to cover priorities across the organisation
  • Be the first point of contact, liaising with the benefits provider
  • To support / lead on HR projects as and where required
  • Comply with GDPR regulations at all times and advise, communicate if there are any areas of opportunity to storing data

This is a full-time position with a view to become permanent for the right candidate. Our client would like someone to start as soon as possible,

The standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am-4pm and Friday 8am-3.30pm.
