We have a permanent opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer, to work full-time, for our client based in Bristol. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for improving and supporting the manufacture of our client's products. Areas of responsibility will include Production & Assembly Line, Quality, Product Development, Training, Health & Safety and Continuous Improvement.


  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout;
  • Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors;
  • Assure product and process quality by establishing quality standards, process capabilities and implementing rigorous testing with full traceability;
  • Provide support for the Pre-production team during new product introduction;
  • Identifying the need, justify, implement, commission and train employees on new capital equipment required to enhance the production facilities;
  • Constantly review the training requirements throughout manufacturing and implement suitable training programs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance to protocol
  • Attend review meetings

Professional Requirements

  • Although not essential, the ideal candidate would be educated to HND / Degree level in an Engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Experience of working with Engineering drawings / geometrical tolerance
  • Ability to work under pressure with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Report writing and project management
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings
  • Although not essential it would be advantageous to be CAD proficient
