The C&D Group are recruiting for a Management Accountant, working full-time (37.5 hours per week). This role is to commence as soon as possible for 6 months.

This role will primarily be based at Peterborough Hospital although travel between North West Anglian hospitals will be required.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing support to a Business Partner in ensuring monthly management reports are accurate, timely and relevant, in accordance with the agreed reporting timetable. This will also involve liaising with Divisions and Corporate Managers and lead staff by providing relevant verbal and written financial information.


  • Contribute to the monthly reporting process, by ensuring that all accruals, invoices and budget adjustments are completed Responsible for the control of ambulance service resources for the current day.
  • To assist in the interpretation of monthly budget statements Keep records of all patient arrival and departure times at the hospital. Develop additional reports to adequately describe the movements
  • To provide cross cover with the other management accountants in the team as and when required.
  • To ensure regularly occurring corrections are corrected at source
  • To ensure that relevant invoices are raised in a timely manner with appropriate backing documents and to maintain an up-to-date log in the income register.

Candidate Skills & Requirements:

  • 4 GCSE’s at grade C or above.
  • DBS Checked.
  • Be prepared to work across sites as and when required.
  • Member of AAT or equivalent experience.
  • Able to multi-task, problem solve and work well under pressure.
  • Be computer literate and have confidence on the telephone.
  • Experience of working in an accounting environment, preferably within the NHS.
