The role and responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for effectively managing the supply chain relationships with the suppliers at an operational level for the business, client & supply chain to ensure all KPIs and SLAs are met and relevant targets achieved, driving innovation and solid consistent delivery.
The ability to breed enthusiasm, to effectively implement agreements cost-effectively and to be systematically collaborative in approach, style & execution with credibility at all levels of the supply chain.  Key to the success of this role will be to establish effective working relationships and alignment of multiple stakeholders and be able to measure (& therefore manage) performance, innovation, and value creation.
 
Main responsibilities
  • Drive supply chain performance, innovation and joined up value creation on a day to day basis.
  • Consistently drive improved solutions & operational performance to the business recognising market trends, supplier & supply chain innovations, in order to maximise the benefits through the supply chain.
  • Regularly review supplier & supply chain performance and ensure operational and contractual standards are met against agreed metrics and KPIs and ensure that any customer concerns are dealt with effectively & in a timely fashion.
  • Generate & deliver all relevant management reporting against supplier & supply chain performance to regularly communicate effective measurement of all key metrics on a regular basis.
  • Develop, implement and manage an ongoing supplier audit programme which ensures the company’s supply chain is effectively supported and managed.
  • Manage suppliers in a fair, visible and transparent way to maintain and enhance the reputation of the client and KBR.
  • Manage relationships with the Supply Chain in line with the Relationship Management Plan​
Ensuring the operational team are:
  • conducting regular monitoring of supplier performance against the applicable benchmarked criteria and KPIs
  • Working with suppliers to identify actions to address areas of poor performance, ensuring actions are logged on to SharePoint and monitoring their effective implementation
  • Reviewing and acceptance of supplier Performance Rectification Plans
  • Identify positive/negative trends in performance and continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve quality and performance and take proactive corrective action where necessary
  • Continuously monitor performance through monitoring of data and liaison with other members of the KBR team including quality, HSE and operations
  • Attending informal weekly meetings with the Supply Chain
  • Attending formal monthly review meetings with the Supply Chain
  • Managing contract change in liaison with commercial
  • Managing contract disputes and remedies
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Member of a Supply Chain related professional body (e.g. MCIPS/BIFM)
  • Previous supply chain & supplier management experience of at least 3 years
  • Experience of managing a multi-service, multi-site, supply chain within the UK.
 
Experience and Skills:
  • Developed interpersonal skills, and ability to build relationships cross functionally & collaboratively and to be able to manage stakeholders at all levels effectively.  A great listener & influencer with a demonstrable ability to develop strong & trusting working relationships.
  • Commercial acumen, who can drive value for all parties, lower costs, manage & mitigate risks, drive greater efficiency, better quality and innovation.
  • Self-starter with who is focused on performance and delivering results.
  • Able to interpret, extract, manipulate and present data accurately & compellingly.
  • Previous experience of managing an operational facilities supply chain function
  • Proven success in driving value for money and quality improvements through the supply chain             
  • Effective time management with the ability to multi-task.
  • Team player, able to work on own initiative.
  • Full security clearance, or be in a position to obtain security clearance for multiple client organisations
  • Approachable individual with a professional manner
  • Methodical in approach to tasks
  • Self-motivated
  • PC literate with PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills (CAFM and SharePoint would be advantageous)
