Project Manager

 

We are looking for a dynamic and driven project manager to help deliver critical projects in the portfolio. The initial focus will be on delivering a transformational project for HR & Finance, introducing a new system and set of processes to the whole organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Day-to-day management of project throughout the full Project Lifecycle from Inception through to closedown
  • Management of Stakeholders to define project scope and objectives; addressing issues with senior stakeholders ensuring they are fully engaged and able to support delivery
  • Leadership of multi-disciplined teams, both internal and third party, to achieve project deliverables to schedule, to budget and to the required quality
  • Stakeholder identification and management, including regular, appropriate and timely communications throughout the projects
  • Ownership of project plans, RAID logs, and highlight reports
  • Accountable for project budget; gaining sign off from stakeholders including Finance and Programme Boards as required
  • Generation of accurate, relevant and timely reporting to enable progress to be tracked centrally
  • Delivery of products and services capable of realising the benefits as defined in the business case
  • Delivery of process improvements delivering resource efficiencies within the organisation
  • Share best practice with, manage and mentor other members of the PMO

 

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree-level or equivalent experience
  • Prince 2, Agile and Lean Six Sigma methodologies desirable

 

Experience:

  • Experience of working without close direction and able to manage multiple streams of work
  • The ability to be highly flexible, capable of identifying the right approach to the challenge in hand and translating that approach into effective delivery
  • Experience of implementing HR & Finance systems
  • Achieving results through influencing skills rather than direct control
  • Successfully managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities
  • Considerable experience of managing projects and supporting cross functional teams delivering process improvements into operations
  • Experience of managing change within an organisation
