Application Support Engineer

C&D are working in partnership with a Swindon based company to recruit an Application Support Engineer to work within their support team. The primary role is to work as part of the team delivering a high level of service and support to the Company's customers, either remotely, by telephone or on-site. This is a permanent and full-time opportunity to work for a great company who are able to demonstrate amazing staff retention. 

The standard working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-5.30pm and Friday 7.30am-4.00pm. Main duties include;

  • Management, triage and resolution of reported customer issues or queries, in addition to carrying out planned project work
  • Monitor and chase progress on open customer issues and queries
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve queries, including the sales and technical teams
  • As required, create and produce investigative reports for issues that are not being progressed in a timely manner
  • For new released software, create test script documentation, carry out testing and submit the results for Company sign off

Candidate Specification;

  • Experience of MS Windows PC and Server operating systems, and their application in a business network environment
  • Strong SQL support skills
  • Good understanding of system design and networking topologies
  • Ability to deliver all customer requirements, including documentation, installation, training and support
  • Knowledge of telecommunications would be an advantage
