C&D has long enjoyed successful sponsorship arrangements for specific events and with a variety of sporting organisations, supporting sport at all levels, including adult and youth rugby, football, netball and darts teams.

Swindon Town Football Club

Key Sponsor & Marshalling Services Provision

Swindon was the birthplace of C&D, and our Head Office is right in the town centre on Commercial Road. Karen Davison, C&D Group’s Managing Director, recognised that football clubs are at the heart of every town and every city around the country, yet in 2007 Swindon appeared to have turned their back on their own club.

We decided to support Swindon Town FC when the club was on the verge of being bought out and a new board of directors about to be appointed. We sponsored the Swindon Town End and started advertising our local jobs to local people who, through thick and thin, supported their club and town. Our thoughts were these were great qualities to have in the work place too!

Into 2010 and with the club on the verge of promotion, everyone in Swindon is now sitting up and taking notice of Swindon Town FC! C&D Group are also this season’s Event Sponsors for the End of Season Awards Night, which promises to be a huge celebration!

Moredon Netball Club

Swindon has a very strong netball community, although the majority of clubs depend heavily on the work of volunteers. Most rely on memberships and fund-raising, and only a few are lucky enough to secure company sponsorship.

Having been a keen netballer since the age of six, Karen Davison, C&D Group’s Managing Director is Vice Chairman for Swindon Netball, and Club Secretary for Moredon Netball Club.

Moredon Netball Club has been around for over forty years, with Karen being an active member now for over twenty years. C&D have enjoyed supporting Moredon Netball Club over the years, and most recently donated waterproof jackets for all the players. And the girls in the team have been known to get together and raise money for charity with their very popular calendar shoots!

The club welcomes new players over the age of fourteen of any ability to join for a free training session.

WHSmith Trust & Mitchemp Trust

Three Peaks Challenge Charity Fundraising Event

The WHSmith Trust has two principal objectives: to support the local communities in which WHSmith staff and customers live and work; and to support education and lifelong learning, helping people of any age to achieve their educational potential.

The Mitchemp Trust aims to give young people the hope, confidence and life skills to meet the challenges in their lives and together build trust and motivation through a journey of experience, adventure and fun.

These goals are reflected in C&D’s own values and so we were delighted to have been able to support the Three Peaks Challenge Charity Fundraising Event, which helped to raise over £ 34,000 for the WHSmith Trust and the Mitchemp Trust.
